Chocolate Chia Pudding with Dried Strawberries

Chocolate Chia Pudding with Dried Strawberries

Chocolate-Chia-Pudding-with-Dried-Strawberries

This is one dessert that you can devour without guilt, even at breakfast. It’s 236 calories made up of fiber and protein-packed chia seeds and sweet dried strawberries. The rich, cocoa flavor makes it taste like a decadent treat that’s almost too good to be true.

Dried strawberries can be found in the snack aisle of most many grocery stores. We added them here for their crunchy texture. If you can’t find them, it’s fine to use fresh berries. Keep in mind that will change the nutritional profile of the recipe.

Total Time: 4 hr. 40 min.
Prep Time: 10 min.
Cooking Time: None
Yield: 4 servings, about ⅔ cup each

Ingredients:
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
½ cup chia seeds
6 Tbsp. organic unsweetened cocoa powder
2 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
4 tsp. dried strawberries (or 4 Tbsp. chopped fresh strawberries)

Preparation:
1. Combine almond milk, chia seeds, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and extract in a large bowl; whisk vigorously for 2 minutes, or until cocoa powder is incorporated, and pudding is well blended.
2. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes; mix well. Refrigerate, covered, for 4 hours or overnight, mixing after 2 hours.
3. Divide evenly into four small serving bowls; top each serving with 1 tsp. dried strawberries.

Decadent. Right? 😉

–Michi’s Ladder–

Health and weight loss is 70% nutrition 30% workout. So its ABSOLUTELY IMPERATIVE that you carefully choose what you eat!! NOW and ALWAYS! Although we want you to follow the diet plan that came with your workout I want you to ADOPT THIS FOR LIFE!!! The easiest way I have found to do this is to use MICHIS LADDER!!

Michi’s Ladder is not a diet. It’s a simple substitution plan. To lose weight, try swapping the foods you eat for similar foods in tiers 1 and 2. The more you eat in tiers 1 and 2, the more you’ll increase your chances of losing weight and getting all your vital nutrients. There are some healthy foods in lower tiers, but they’re either calorie dense or nutrient deficient. HERE IS THE KEY …..To lose weight, and keep it off FOREVER you want to maximize the nutrients in every calorie you consume.

Remember, this is your journey- your success story! You hold the pen, you determine how this story ends…so make it a good one!
